Original owner of a wonderful Bourgeois Custom OM with Pao Rosewood (not Pao Ferro) and Adirondack Spruce top. Purchased from Acoustic Vibes in 2008, the Pao Rosewood was harvested in Africa in the 1960s, so the back and sides are around 60 years old and the tone shows it. This is an outstanding example of Dana’s work and includes several custom options - the Pao Rosewood back and sides, DB Signature Herringbone purfling/binding on the top, bound fretboard (black) and Short Pattern Slotted Squares and Diamonds fretboard inlay. The guitar also has a K&K Trinity system that sounds great whether you use a dual or single source pre amp. This guitar is in good-very good shape, it has been played and it has also been gigged, but not at all extensively. There are some dings that any guitar that has been played and enjoyed is going to have, nothing major or through the finish (See pictures in link for close ups). Structurally in great shape.
This is an awesome sounding and playing guitar that is sure to make someone very happy. This is a guitar that excels at pretty much any style of playing " great for finger picking, flatpicking, you name it - extraordinarily versatile. It is articulate, full, clear and warm sounding and if you want to dig in, it can get very loud. Only selling because I was able to finally acquire a guitar I have been looking for, for the last several years. I am not a flipper; I buy what I like and keep it for the long term.
This guitar has just had a new fret leveling and fret dressing job done and comes from a smoke free home.
