Vintage Gibson A-3 ($965)

Serial #38840 Gibson A-3 for sale by owner. These seem to be difficult (for me) to discern exactly the year this would have been built, but you can plug the serial number into Google and have fun. It seems that it is probably a 19-teens build date. Please look over all the phots and send me a message with your questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability. It's a 100+ year old instrument, so it's got some bumps and bruises, but wow, what a beauty! It does have a crack on the top (treble side) ... I'm no expert, but I can feel through the sound hole something under the crack (small piece of something) that may indicate a previous repair.

It's a very cool piece of history. I'm only selling because I'll never, ever play a mandolin like this ... I'm a bluegrass picker.

I will ship this in a basic A-model hardshell case, inside a box with lots of extra padding.

I am asking $965 for the mandolin and I will cover the shipping costs for CONUS only.
