Unless you want to spend a lot of money on custom-made, you'll probably have to go with singles.

Might suggest if you go with singles as Paul suggested that you take a look at mini's I was kicking around some ideas that would require individual tuners and the difference between the strips and using the mini's only added a total of aprox 2 oz.

Going with singles (of course, don't want to go with married ones , ha ha...), seem to be a good choice. I do not mind the few extra ounces. Most tuners hardware have 23mm spacing (instead of 25mm on my Rogue mandolin). And I do not want to waste time plugging the holes, drill new ones to fit with the 23mm as the top surface is covered with a nice layer of veneer.
Kip, do you have the link to the singles you are looking at ? Please post it.
Thanks

I just found this set, 25mm spacing, however it cost so little, only 8.49$ shipping included.

Don't know if any member of this forum happen to use this set before ?

Sure... Gover is what I was looking at... MINI ROTOMATICS (205 SERIES) (http://www.grotro.com/Mainoriginalrotos.html)... Available though StewMac and other standard net based luthier suppliers. I contacted Grover in the process of this because typically these tuners are sold in sets for guitars so they come in sets of three left three right. Grover assured me that any of their resellers could sell individual left and rights as well.

*** Note **** You will need to click on the 'mini' link on the left side of the page when using the link in order to see the mini's I was talking about.

They look like Pings and I am skeptical of the 25mm measurement. But it wouldn't cost much to find out. Even at 25mm it would still require some serious futzing.

What mandolin is this going on? I assume it has a flat headstock.

To keep the weight down, I would not go with any type of Rotomatic, but would prefer simpler open machines like these:

Found on eBay the mini Rotomatic tuners, 25$ for a set of in-line 6 from HongKong (imitation?). 45$ from US (must be the real ones). And need to double to get an extra set (one left and one right set), so 4 will be extra for spares (or for an ukulele !!!).

I am wondering how much the mini Rotomatics would cost (for 4 left, 4 right). They do look very attractive, and the spec is pretty good.

You would have to buy a set of six and then buy an extra left and right from my investigation. Roughly $70 or so for all 8 doing it that way would be my guess but I never priced the individuals as it required a phone call that I was too lazy to accomplish.
