Joe As I remember the tonal qualities of this mandolin when I tried in in person I'm quite sure this is natural acoustic tone of the instrument (that there is no pickup or any sort of sustainer used on the recording). Am I right, Oskar? Would you please share with us what equipment did you use to record it? Thank you!
Oskar, thank you for the beautiful piece of music. I really love music of Oskar's trio called Indiefolktrion. They say about themselves that they play original energetic, melodic and playful music with elements of traditional Swedish music, improvisation, baroque and pop. The trio consist of Oskar on the mandolin, Erik Dahl on the piano and Viktor Turegård on Double Bass. They recorded an album called 'Indiefolk' a few years ago. By the way Oskar plays this particular 2012 Váňa F5 Master Mandolin on the album. Excellent video. Also super excited to find another nyckelharpa player to listen to. The 'Panna mot Panna' album is just fantastic.

Nice piece, well played
Beautifully played. I'd like to learn more about nordic/N. European traditional music. Love the wallpaper.
Nicely played, Oskar. Great tone and touch. Check out that left hand work position next to the fingerboard, folks. That's how it's supposed to be done.
Excellent !! And inspiring. Thanks.
Very impressive playing -- just wonderful!
Wunderbar My Man!
Bostin', Josh! Beautiful, and such clarity. Cheers.
Impressive picking Josh, and amazing tone out of that RD, even at speed! Seeing you play with Kittel & Co. just about tops my list for live music. Thanks.

Gracious! Josh, whose face was on the Mandolin Cafe home page when he was probably 8 because I saw him at Winfield and thought he was pretty cool. Bravo!
My metronome doesn't need to be programmed to change speeds... Just kiddin' Great playing, and thanks for the great practice routine!
Very nice - who made that mandolin?

Absolutely beautiful. As a beginner mandolinist I am so impressed by your command of each note. Crisp, clean and clear. Your delivery left me with a sense of peace, which is a valued feeling during these times. Thank you Dorina!!!
A modern piece by Victor? More like this please! (dbMandolin are you there?) And what a beautiful mandolin. Thank you Dorina.
Thank you!
Love the nuanced playing. Aspirational.
What a pleasant way to start the week.
