Very nice
What a gorgeous melody and arrangement, Magnus! Thank you.
Excellent arrangement and playing Magnus! Thank you for the sheet music.
Great way to start the week, Magnus. A deep & haunting tune.
Excellent. Thanks for bringing us this great melody, and your fine "mandolin twists".
Excellent. Deep connection to that tune. Maybe remnants of Swedish DNA from the Peterson side of my family.
Sounds great Tom and greetings from Austin, TX. Hope all is well.
Sounds great, Tom!
A fun mash-up. Great tone!

Most of my repertoire would be unplayable on a 16" scale, about which I am mystified. Viola scale length usually between 14.25" and 14.75". My viola is 14.5". A big sound is mainly from a large enough volume, and mostly large top area. This instrument has 50% more internal volume than a Buchanan mandolin.

Very nice.
Nicely done!
Right On Tom!
Joni would be pleased!
Alright ... Very cool arrangement and execution ... Thx. Larry
Well that's fun, and the mando sounds great. Thanks for sharing!
Hey, Tom, that sounds nice!
Sweet!
Bostin, as usual, David. Well done, and thank you for all of these Mandolin Mondays.
Well done David. Thanks for sharing this great tune and your excellent playing with us.
Wow great tune and playing. Always love the Durang Hornpipe and can't wait to check out those variations up close.
On my list of tunes to learn! As always, beautiful playing and great tone! Thank you, David, for sharing!
Nice! I heard this tune on the radio a few months ago, and found this version on youtube that I learned from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpfhvZfE1AE You have some very nice variations in yours. I'll have to check out your basics video. Cheers, Rob
Nice! Liked the camera work too.
Tone, Timing, Tacos
Beautiful!! And thanks for the pdf!
Very nice, and I agree that many tunes benefit from a more relaxed tempo that allows one to enjoy the melody. Not that I don't also admire and enjoy some pedal to the metal playing. Thanks for sharing this one!
beautiful arrangement and playing!
Great tunes, well played!
Very nice Rainer, and sooo entirely different from how I would/do play it. Hope to see you this year at the you know where, and maybe we´ll play both your and my take. It´ll be fun.
Nicely played, dear Rainer.
Great arrangement!
Thx for the cool arrangement of that old chestnut..! I couldn't agree more with regard to appreciating melodies when played at different or slower tempos... Larry
Absolutely beautiful, Rainer! Thank you for sharing!!
Very nice, I need to learn this tune, I always liked it, for sure the way Don Reno played it on banjer.

Phenomenal picking. And coincidentally, just saw another great video of Mr. Rueb picking on a Waterloo WL-M, inspired by the other thread on the recent demise of the Waterloo mandolin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZ5FHlqXkto

What, no .pdf of the sheet music? … Oh, and wow! Such a great performance!
A great tune and a wonderful performance!!! Thank you, Alex, for sharing!!
One of my favorite tunes beautifully played. Thx Alex and David.
I really like that first piece, and I love the tone you're getting out of that A4! Playing back from the soundhole must really make it jump out in a session. Before I even knew what a mandolin really was, I came across one of Otis Tomas' mandolins in a bookstore in eastern Long Island. It was pure poetry in the hand, and I corresponded with him briefly as I was getting into guitar making. Thank you for the reminder. That bowlback must be something special.
Wonderful, Claudine! Very peaceful tunes for a not-so-peaceful time! Thank you for sharing!
Claudine Langille must be on the phone with my daughter all the time. Because my daughter - when trying out my Strad-O-Lin - allways plays in the "AC/DC" position (way back there, close to the bridge). I must admit, nice music pieces (I found out years ago that I rather like Turlough O Carolan), nicely played on a nice mandolin. What´s not to like.
Just wonderful!
Nicely done. A Heiden never sounded better.
Beautiful song and playing. Thank you.
great composition and great playing as always Andrew!
What a gorgeous melody! Beautiful!
