It is interesting to see such youthful exuberance. I also like your Duff. It is no secret that I like Duff mandolins. Thumbs up all in all.
Justin, that was awesome tasteful and agile playing with great tone! Thanks!
Pretty impressive. Wish we could hear the Kenny Baker fiddle version too.
Well done! I'll be listening to that a few more times.
Snappy tune and snappy playing! Nice mandolin too. Thanks for posting.
Fine playing from an upcoming artist. He should become a major star in Americana and bluegrass music.
Lovely music and beautifully played!
Very nice, and I really like the interesting tones you are getting from that mandolin.
It is so nice to hear the 'relaxed' phrases. Beautiful music.
Bellissimo!
Lovely sound from that mandolin. It's always interesting to see musicians from parts of the world we don't hear from enough.
Nice ideas - I think that "work in progress" has legs. Sounds very nice, and you're certainly getting some great tone from that Mowry.
CNC is older than 2010…maybe not for Andrew… Lovely song!
Excellent. It is often the case that, if you are geographically isolated, your style or playing takes a life of its own despite of the probably noticable influences.
There ain't enough caffiene in the world to get me up to that speed (or tasty notes . Andy is a phenominal talent!!! Len B. Clearwater, FL
Most excellent!
Fantastic.
Bostin, Emory! Still one of the best. Bravo, sir!
Sounds killer Emory-- nice work. A & E strings really sing on that Heiden! (Or could that be technique? Nah, probably just equipment )
Emory is a fantastic player, I first heard him when he was on my late Great Uncle Dick Smith's first recording with Mike O' Reilly in 1998. Great Stuff!
Love Emory's playing. He was an inspiration to me early on, and still is.
Excellent tune, playing and tone. Love the recording too! The audio and video are great. Love cruisin' The 8 and your other projects as well.
That tone is the definition of "The Modern Sound".....
Wonderful!
I could listen to this over and over. Great playing, Emory, and an amazing sound coming out of that Heiden.
Lovely tune on that Capek F5 mandolin.
Didn't recognize the instrument she was playing. It would be nice if the make & year were included in every M.M. description. I know they sometimes are but I'm always curious about the mandolin & I imagine others are too.
Wonderfully contemplative, with lots going on below the seeming calm. Great!
I have happy memories of meeting Abbey (and her mum) back in 2017 at the Crossover festival in the Uk. I also recall that we had a late night "jam" on the Friday eve. I was really impressed with her mandolin playing, and it is great to see her doing well. Lovely playing here too. If you read this Abbey, bests to you (and your mum!), Paul
That was really beautiful! Thank you.
Absolutely worth slowing this down to 50% to study her fantastic technique. Look for the little "gear" at the bottom of the YouTube page and go to "playback settings". There you can choose normal, 3/4, 1/2 speed etc... Superb playing!
Beautiful
Charlotte certainly has mastery of the mandolin techniques. I enjoyed the 'setting aside' the pick for a quiet passage. She's a huge talent in the mandolin world. Thanks for sharing this video.
Bravo!!! Absolutely stunning! Not familiar with Jiro Nakano, but I will be moving forward! Love the finger-picking section; very sweet! A moving performance! Thank you, Charlotte and David, for sharing!
Wow! Thank you for getting Monday off to a wonderful start.
Here's information about Charlotte's recording released in June last year.
Well that's some fine pickin! A great tune and sound and some interesting techniques too. I'm gonna have to watch this a couple more times in slo-mo.
Magnificent! Great tune and great playing. And what a mandolin!
Alright! Very nicely done, and some fun dynamics in there too.
Awesome!
Great stuff!!
Alan, I love your playing on Soldiers Joy and all the variations. Congratulations on the new Gil-it sure looks mighty fine and sounds lovely in your hands.
You tricky devil, you - I like that minor excursion! Way cool, and you are getting some great sounds from that Gil.
Nice, Alan, and thanks for the “trip around the world”—and the fretboard—with the Soldier’s Joy. Lovely to hear you play and congratulations on the new Gilchrist.
Great playing, Alan! Great to meet you and jam at Monroe Camp. Congrats on the beautiful Gil.
A very joyful Soldier's Joy! Thank you, Alan and David, for sharing!
Well done Alan. Bonus points for the “Slidey’s”.
Thanks for the “Joy”!
Beautiful playing as always and what a wonderful homage to your mentor. I know Mr. Fasanaro must be so proud
