• Utah Musician Wins Scholarship to Guitar & Mandolin Camp North

    Guitar & Mandolin Camp NorthCromwell, Conn. — Moriah Ozberkmen of Murray, Utah, was the scholarship recipient at this year's Guitar & Mandolin Camp North in Charlton, Mass., held April 13-15.

    Ms. Ozberkmen, who's been playing since she was 13, is well-known in her local music community, and has won state titles for her fiddle, mandolin, and guitar playing.

    Besides teaching at a local music store three days a week, Ms. Ozberkmen voluteers at several organizations.

    On receiving this scholarship award, Ms. Ozberkmen said, "Music takes you places you'd never expect to go! I'm so grateful for this wonderful opportunity to travel across the country, make new friends, jam and hone my musical ability at Mandolin Camp North."
