Mandolin Mondays #165 w/ Special Guest Eli Slocumb

Rate this Entry
Young Colorado mandolin phenom Eli Slocumb plays this standard fiddle tune like you've never heard it before on his 2012 San Juan mandolin built by Bobby Wintringham.

Originally from Fort Collins, CO, Eli recently moved to Boston, MA, to study mandolin in the Roots Music Program at the Berklee College of Music. His debut self-titled album is a great listen, featuring a lineup of other amazing Colorado of musicians: Tyler Grant, Dusty Rider, Joe D'Esposito, and Eric Thorin. In the words of The Punch Brother's Chris Eldridge, “I’ve known Eli for 5 years and in that time it has been my pleasure to watch him grow both as a person and as a musician. His passion for music is clear - Eli is a natural explorer who is always pushing himself to grow and find new territory on the mandolin."
