Rating: 1 votes, 5.00 average.
This week on Mandolin Mondays we have the incredible Dutch multi-instrumentalist Bertolf Lentink with us, playing an original tune called "Blueberry Blossom" on his 1950 Gibson F12 mandolin.

Bertolf is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, singer songwriter, and bluegrass lover from the city of Zwolle in The Netherlands. He founded the band The Junes and has toured and recorded extensively with the Dutch tribute band Her Majesty. Additionally, Bertolf has a wide-breadth of solo work, including 8 studio records and more on the way.

Here's a word from Bertolf about this video, "I'm on holiday in the Ardennes in Belgium right now, and I figured it would be nice to do it outside cause the view's quite good here. I play my father's 1950 Gibson F12 and the tune is one I wrote on mandolin as a tribute to my late guitar teacher Berry Selles and is called 'BlueBerry Blossom'"

Hey, not bad for a guitar player! I am guessing that the spirit of Berry Selles finds that to be a fine tribute indeed - I certainly do. Dad's mando sounds pretty darn good too. Thanks for this fine exposition.
