Mandolin Mondays #368 Featuring Chris Luquette

Rate this Entry
This week on Mandolin Mondays we're joined by guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Chris Luquette from Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen playing an original tune called "Riding To Ventura" on his custom Steve Hinde mandolin.

Chris is a Seattle native guitarist for the 2-time Grammy-Nominated band Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen. But as evidenced in this video, he's an amazing mandolinist and plays regularly in NYC bluegrass scene. He has a bluegrass project called The Grass Messengers, and he also has 2 solo recordings available here: https://chrisluquette.com/home

One of my favorite ( and most adept) contemporary acoustic guitar players, saw him a few times with Frank, of course now Chris is emerging as a double threat and I hope to see some double mando pieces from Dirty Kitchen! Awesome tone on that Kimble!

    That was fun.
Is it my imagination or was there a Turkey in the Straw on the way to Ventura?
