Mandolin Mondays #379 w/ Special Guest Michael Prewitt

Rate this Entry
This week on Mandolin Mondays we're joined by Special Consensus mandolinist Michael Prewitt playing a killer version of the Bill Monroe tune "Tombstone Junction" on this Pava #498 F5 mandolin.

International Bluegrass Music Association award nominee Michael Prewitt was born and raised in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains in rural Whitley County, Kentucky, outside of the town of Williamsburg. It was there he learned to play bluegrass music, first on the fiddle and then on what would quickly become his life’s musical love, the mandolin. After a stint in North Dakota and Minnesota, he now lives outside of Nashville, where he teaches mandolin in person, online, and at acoustic music camps across the country, while also touring with the two-time Grammy nominated bluegrass band Special Consensus. A solo album of fiddle tunes played on the mandolin will be out in the summer of 2023. Visit michaelprewitt.net for more information and to sign up for his mailing list.

Happy Picking!
David
