Mandolin Mondays #391 w/ Special Guest Brielle Petrie

Rating: 22 votes, 5.00 average.
This week on Mandolin Mondays we're joined by Utah mandolinist Brielle Petrie of the Copper Kettle Band playing an original tune called "The Merry Maple" on her Weber Bitterroot mandolin.

Brielle has always been interested in learning new instruments. She started learning classical violin/fiddle, then picked up piano and guitar. When she started learning mandolin and was introduced to bluegrass, she fell in love with the raw instrumental sound and has been hooked ever since. She is a native of Merrimack, NH and more recently hails from American Fork, UT. She has been part of several groups including BYU’s International folk ensemble and the American Folk Ensemble, playing in folk festivals in several countries including France, Portugal, Macedonia, China, and many cities in the western U.S. She is currently part of the Copper Kettle Band, a bluegrass group based in Utah.

Be sure to connect with Brielle at the links below for more info about her music:

And as always, tune in next week for more Mandolin Mondays! Until then...

Happy Picking!
