Mandolin Mondays #423 w/ Special Guest Mickey Abraham

Rate this Entry
This week on Mandolin Mondays, we're joined by Lessons with Marcel multi-instrumentalist instructor and performer Mickey Abraham, playing a chord melody arrangement of the Pat Ballard classic "Mr. Sandman" on his Gibson A9 mandolin.

Mickey is a phenomenal guitarist and mandolinist in Florida. He’s written articles and arrangements for Bluegrass Unlimited and Flatpicking Guitar Magazine. He’s a Suncoast Emmy Award winner and regularly hosts interviews for the Lessons with Marcel YouTube channel. Additionally, Mickey he’s taught for many years and has extensive experience in the bluegrass scene.

Later this year Mickey will also be releasing a new project called “Voices: A Folk Opera"--a 2 hour concept album that was written with the late Kathryn Belle Long--another Suncoast Emmy Award winner and talented musician who is sorely missed.

Be sure to connect with Mickey at the following links below for more information about his music:

And as always, tune in next week for more Mandolin Mondays! Until then...

Happy Picking!
