Just gettin in to mandolin, being a fiddler and also guitar. Just curious , is there any reason to ever even think about using a capo on Mandolin?

Capos? We don't need no sinking capos!
There is nothing wrong with using a capo on mandolin in my opinion - whatever works..... I use one sometimes. I also use one on my guitar - I've even been known to use one on bass ( I noticed a photo of Paul McCartney in the studio with a capo on his bass - that made it ok by me).
