Hello everyone, I bought a mando 12 months ago, and for the first few months felt like throwing it out the window - i seemed to be getting absolutely nowhere! Then, finally it began to come together, and i'm playing a few melodies. My question is: Are there any Australian members on this forum? Cheers.

I'm not Australian, but I love Australian wine (especially Chateau Reynella, Annie's Lane, Peter Lehmann, and Yalumba), as well as several musicians from Australia, most especially Jimi Hocking (great blues mandolin player) and Heather Stewart (great old time/blues fiddler)...Does that count?

Hello, Thank you for your reply and welcome! I haven't responded till now, cos we've been away at the Texas Country Music Roundup (that's Texas, Queensland, not Texas USA!). We took part in the 'walk-up' shows in the week leading up to the main shows for the professional artists. Had a ball with the mando too! Cheers, Ally
