I was just reminded what a wonderful instrument the mandolin is for patterns, and the FFcP is leading me to them. So, I just wanted to stop by and say thanks. What brought me to this was: I was playing in 1st FFcP on a major scale (G major) on the D string and suddenly wanted to head down to the G string. I thought about what notes I needed to hit and then just suddenly realized that I was in C lydian, without even really worrying about it. So, thanks again. These little realizations seem to be coming more and more frequently now and its a really good feeling.
