Mine is SN 0043. Built July 2006. It has Dominico Orrico talpiece, Oil Varnish finish, Steve Smith bridge, Grover gold tuners, 200 year old Ceder on the top and maple wood on the back and sides. In Ken's words, "killer sounding mandolin".
"Sounds" like a great one! Do you know if your mandolin has a name? Don
None that I gave it! I really don't get the naming of an instrument thing. Just never me.
I'm asking because I think Ken names all of his F models and I believe some of the As. I never much named my stuff either. THough I have friends that name everything ... the car (Bud - bought with Anheuser busch stock), the RV (Ti - short for Tioga), whatever ... Don
Interesting. I didn't know Ken did that. Mine was made by Laura. To my knowledge, it hasn't a name. At least, that its told me! Any mandolin I've heard by Ken or Laura has such a wonderfully deep tone. I'd almost think they'd have to have a masculine name!
