Went ahead and took the plunge on a new RM-1V. Replaced the strings with some from Jazzmando as many have suggested. I absolutely love this instrument! Amazing tone...from a whisper to a scream Very well built and fast comfortable neck. Not sure how this maple version compares with the walnut, but at this point I don't much care... Now if I only had more time to play!
