If any of you in the NW PA/NE OH area needed a repair, where would you take it?
Perhaps Lou Stiver. I believe he does repairs.
I think that Lou Stiver does the repair work for Acoustic Music Works in Pittsburgh, so that would be a really good choice. I have not had any regionally based work done on my mandolins, but for guitars, I would highly recommend Ken Lesko of Rainbow Guitar Repair (drop-off locations in and around Cleveland). Ken does wonderful work on guitars. I believe he used to do work on mandolins but doesn't anymore. Oh, and I've also heard very good things about Dave Howard of Spiritwood Guitar in Stow, OH. I'd say he'd be worth talking to (about either guitar or mandolin work).
