I can guess by the serial number that your instrument is about 1998 or 1999. it is in better shape than the M-1 that I own, which is 3 or 4 years newer than yours.
Hi! I don't know much about serial numbers, so had no idea how old the mandolin was. It is in excellent condition and sounds really nice to me. It must have been cared for very well!
My M-4 is Serial Number 1558. Mike Dulak told me it was shipped in January of 1998. Since then, the Computer records were lost in a crash. I am trying to line up numbers with known dates.
