Hi, I've got a nice 1996 A5 Performer I bought at the Homestead Picking Parlor in Richfield, MN after I had a chance to try one out at Gruhn Guitars in Nashville. I fly for a living, and get out to Bozeman every now and then. After a nice email conversation with the folks at Sound to Earth (Weber Mandolins) I managed to visit the factory in Logan, Montana in 2008. Of course, the Flatiron went back to say hi to Dad (Bruce Weber). It was a very nice visit, the folks were very friendly, and it was neat to see all those pretty Webers in various stages of construction.

I took some photos, and posted them to this site some time ago, but I am only slowly figuring out how to navigate this site and make it do what I want. Therefore I thought I would post this message to anyone who would like to look at few photos of the folks who built their Flatirons before Gibson bought the name out. They're in a photo album called "Rob's Mandos and Sound to Earth".

    Enjoy!
