Here's Uncle Sam's Blues played on a vintage parlor guitar and a National mandolin. There's a little bit of the Mississippi Blues thrown in just for fun!

Thanks for your comments! Richieb, this turn of the century guitar was made by George Bauer, a Philadelphia luthier who produced guitars and mandolins in the period around 1890-1910. It has some fantastic inlays and really beautiful rosewood sides and back, a spruce top, a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard and a double row of herringbone around the top. It is extremely light and responsive and never leaves the house. I use extra light bronze strings and it sounds just right on the fingerpicking stuff I play...
