    This is a popular Neapolitan song in waltz time. The definitive recording is by Roberto Murolo, on Youtube here.

    We play this fairly frequently in an arrangement for mandolin ensemble or orchestra that our group has inherited from an anonymous source. There are four separate parts (first mandolins splitting up in the second half of the tune), plus rhythm guitar.

    I've overdubbed all the parts, playing the mandolin 1(A) part on my 1890s Umberto Ceccherini bowlback, the mandolin 1(B) and 2 parts on Embergher bowlback, the mandola part double-tracked on tenor guitar and waldzither (tuned as octave mandola), and the rhythm on tenor guitar.
