Dear diary and its readers A halcyon autumn day here in Grahamstown South Africa. I love autumn. The leaves are courses for a song in colour to be played on. I am happy as I reflect on some achievements on mandolin - the mastering of E-flat major, not only playing the chord, but transferring to F and other chords successfully. The mastering of b minor and also the playing of the melody of "Going Home" by Dire Straits. The mandolin has been a remarkable journey for me - a yellow brick road of new experiences and friends made. Long live music long live mandolins!
