It took ten days for UPS to trek from Reno to Central aflordia, but the wait was worth it. After tuning spent three hours having a ball with the 520. Robert Fear's (Folkmusician.com) setup of it was spot-on and the mando had me smiling all afternoon. The sound was deeper, more bass than I expected, very mellow. Definitely, I got a good one. Being retired has its merits, one of them being to spend a weekday afternoon with the mandolin....
I'll second that. That's my every afternoon. Life is good.
I have mine in my hands every night after work till bedtime also very impressed with the tones of this mandolin. The LM 520 VS is definitely a home run.
