Dear Diary and readers It's been a while since I posted here. Playing the mandolin for the past year and two months, I can see that the mandolin and music has taken me on such a journey of hard work. However, having said that I must say the journey is so rewarding. Some highlights: my recent playing with a band, and the playing and singing at the Nelson Mandela human Chain event in Grahamstown. I think the mandolin has made my life extraordinary and so rewarding. Music, and mandolins with their bright colours and textures has become the rich tapestry for my to benefit from and I am so grateful. For the new players: keep practicing. You will get there. Good job. Hang in there. Play with a band every chance you get. Its amazing how you can get pulled to others level when you share in their music.
