Well apparently most people who play mandolin do not live within seeing distance of the wonderful mountains and hills of North Carolina. Man I sure am glad I do. I thought the numbers on this social group would be staggering.
Well, not everyone around here sets & rots their minds online all the time. I hear there is a non-virtual reality.

I don't live in NC full time but have a cabin at Whittier in Jackson County. I keep a mandolin at the cabin and would like to get to know some picking buddies to jam with when I am up there.
Alan: there are a lot ofr jam opportunities in the greater Asheville area. Just about one every night of the week. I don't know about stuff in Jackson county, tho.... Drop me a note when you think you might be around.
