This week, we had a tie, and since it's been a while since we've had a Bluegrass tune, I made the decision to go with An Unclouded Day, which was submitted as a Bluegrass Gospel tune. Here is link to notation and mandolin tab on traditionalmusic.co.uk Some videos on YouTube
Here's a real Bluegrass version with Doyle Lawson on mandolin: Don't let that discourage you, even kids can play this song: Basic melody and variations:
I don't know, why I suggested this song, I seem to be the world's worst Bluegrass mandolin player. That's why I tried to play this piece as a relaxed swing tune on my tenor guitar. It's a cheap Kala tenor, but it was fun to rediscover it...
I would like bluegrass more if it sounded like this!
Thanks Robert! I like bluegrass, but I'm not able to play it...
Crisscross you can play that! A good effort too -I couldn’t get myself to try it. Well done.
Thanks atsunrise! In this slowed down tempo, you could play it too. Just be aware, that there are a few measures too much in the linked sheet music.
I would echo Robert's sentiments too, Christian. The tune suits your interpretation really well.
