This is another Danish waltz, written (?) by J. Kristensen from the town of Give, near Velje in Jutland. The title translates as "I'm going, but I'm coming again tomorrow". Learned from this score: https://spillefolk.dk/nodesamling/vi...va-jeggzzzrmen I have played this tune as a mandolin duet, with tenor guitar accompaniment. Mid-Missouri M-0W mandolin (x2) Vintage Viaten tenor guitar This one sounds and feels quite German to me, possibly because of the relative proximity of Velje to historical Schleswig. Martin
You are right Martin, this piece sounds a bit like German music. But nicely played nonetheless! I like the sound when you play your Mid-Missouri.
Well done, Martin. And, yes, it sounds like a German or an Austrian waltz.
Thanks, Christian and Frithjof. Dipping into tunes on Spillefolk is always fun -- so much good and slightly unusual music there. Martin
I can just imagine my grandad playing this on his accordion. His accordion is now with me. Perhaps I should try to learn this tune on it. Well played, and thank you for introducing the tune.
