Here is a jolly tune from Kerr's collection of Merry Melodies Book 1. First section in Am the second in A major.
Nice delivery of a very catchy wee tune, Duncan. Your mandolin sounds very clear. Kerr's books were (and in many cases still are) the go-to books for tunes for Scottish Country Dancing among other things. Published in Glasgow in the 1870s
It does sound merry! Well played.
Nicely played tune. Reminds me of Christmas.
Clear picking, Duncan. Seems to be a happy dance.
Fine picking on a nice mandolin!
A very pronounced hornpipe, and with daring harmonies I can dimly picture the gaudy dancers, slippery floor underneath, drams inside.
