My version of the Deep Waters hornpipe from the Northumbria region in northern England. Played on 1917 A4. I learned this from the playing of David Hansen.
Sweet! Well played and thanks for reminding me of this tune.
I like that more people are doing mandolin solos and they sound so nice, like this one, David. Just hearing the clear notes of a lovely melody makes the mandolin a stand-alone instrument worthy of these wonderful solos.
Wonderful woody tone there, Mr McKenzie. Many years ago I had a Gibson A3 and it had some similar woody tones to it, I wish I had kept it.
Clear picking as usual. And, yes, this sweat woody tone of an old instrument!
An enjoyable tune and well played, David. Nice to hear the mandolin on its own, as Ginny says.
Excellent Dusty! Really well played.
