I'm relearning, "The Snowflake Reel." I'm getting, "Maggie Brown's Favorite" up to speed. I don't think either of these tunes has made the social group. I'd say the first is old time. The second is O'Carolan. f-d
I thought Snowflake Reel sounded familiar. It was way back on Week 146. You should bring it back up to the top of the pile with your version sometime.
Another jig then - this one Irish. The Humours of Trim, also known as The Sea Image or the Rolling Wave. Here is a Chieftains medley with it, at about 1:30. and another version
How about "Summertime" by Gershwin?
Soppin' the Gravy (aka Little Betty Brown). It's a great old time tune often played by Texas style fiddlers. Plays nicely on the mandolin too. Key of D.

How about The Clumsy Lover - a Scottish Reel
Cold rain and snow is a nice modal tune with lots of room for variation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5p0AryAE6Bw
How about some nice Western Swing - The Cowboy Waltz
Johnny the Blacksmith - a cool old fiddle tune most associated with Kenny Baker: Bluegrass/Old Time
This is a nice one; "Indiana Firefly" from John Reischman (CD- Up in the woods) You see Reischman play it when he talks about his Loyd Loar in this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvB2PxEsGbM. I found a tabledit version somewhere on the web. a good example here:
I'm suggesting this "Untitled Mazurka" (played by Altan, mainly): https://www.irishtune.info/tune/1241/ Listed on Thesession.org as "John Doherty's Mazurka" (http://thesession.org/tunes/2497) but clearly not the right name according to irishtune.info: John Doherty's Mazurka seems to be an other one (https://www.irishtune.info/tune/973/) The beautiful Altan's version:
Also, this great irish tune (schottische/scottische?), unnamed or unknown ("Nora Marshall's Scottische" in the description, but I found no other references on the web). I definitely love it. It has in common with the mazurka that I just posted above, other than being more or less unnamed, the key change on the third repeat, that gives a great lift to the tune (even though it's probably an interpretation choice, not really part of the tune).
Another one that I like very much: The Boys of Ballycastle (IT) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUt4LFJm5zg
"Happy Birthday To You".
