Sept 4, 2017: I'm cleaning up this list again, taking out the tunes chosen, and the tunes voted on and never chosen. You'll note the list is getting short again (maybe we've considered every tune out there haha!) If you have a suggestion, please post it here, or send me a private message, and I'll get it on this list) I'd appreciate it, if you could do a search (by choosing "advanced search" at the top right of every page, then select 'group messages' and then the title of the tune in the search box). If you find that the tune has ever been tune of the week, please don't submit it again. If you find it's been submitted as an 'other tune', or even if it's been voted on but never selected, it's fine to suggest it again! John Kelly's Birdfeeder Waltz.
Id vote for John's Birdfeeder Waltz too. If you could supply it with TAB , even better
I don't know if John has seen this, but he has shared sheetmusic for "the Birdfeeder Waltz" here. https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/a...7&d=1514985202
Thanks for the heads-up, Hendrik, and to Brian and Dusty who have suggested the tune. Here is a link to a version with mandolin TAB added, as requested by another member in a PM to me. https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/a...2&d=1515147307
Birdfeeder Waltz! Thanks for the sheet music.
Calling all members! Please take a look at the most recent poll tune suggestions list (a few posts before this one). This is the list that I am working from. We've gotten down to almost ALL Irish tunes. I need some suggestions for other genre tunes, if I'm going to continue to populate the polls with a variety of genre! Also, you could also do me a big favor, and doing a quick search of the 'official tune of the week table of contents', to make sure what you are suggesting, hasn't already been a tune of the week. It's OK if it's already been done as an 'other tune'.... Thanks for your help! If I don't get something soon, in the Old Time, and Bluegrass genre, we'll soon just be choosing between Irish Tunes (and I'm ok with that, haha!)
Here's a few old time tunes that haven't been the Song of the Week, although some have been "other tunes".
