Arranged for mandolins by Evelyn Tiffany-Castiglioni, from "Evelyn's Big Book For Mandolins For The Year 2017" -- available from Amazon and highly recommended!

No political statement intended -- this is simply a fun tune to play on mandolins. I actually recorded this a few weeks ago, by coincidence the same day that I recorded the Ukrainian National Anthem. Posting both at the same time would have taken me somewhere I didn't want to go, so I've held it back for a few weeks.

Despite its associations with the US president, the tune is originally British, having been published in 1812 by the English composer James Sanderson (1769-1841) to words by Sir Walter Scott.

It's a rousing tune, and playing it on mandolins makes it rather more melodic and less bombastic ...

I can imagine that being played with trumpets and trombones sounding rather bombastic.
But your mandoin version sounds friendy and upbeat, Martin!
