My mandolin version of Liz Carroll's Fly and Dodger played on my Gibson A model with a Wegen pick.

I met this tune recently at a local fiddle workshop I was attending (with my guitar), Dusty. The tutor was teaching the class by ear - no sheet music used at the time but given out later to the participants. I could see why this tune was one of the ones she chose to teach as it is a very infectious wee tune with lots of repetition and some nice little rhythmic patterns. She broke it down into small sections and slowly built it up by adding more bars or phrases and gently increasing the tempo. Your version here does the tune justice.

Nice playing Dusty. And thanks, nice rocking melody.
I just tried this in A major/D major. Sounds great with the ringing open strings and fingering that just taps on the fretboard.
