46 years ago today, Murray the K played a Beatles record for the first time on the radio in New York City. The song was She Loves You. It got very little listener reaction. Guess it took a little while for it to catch on. Murray the K referred to himself as the 5th Beatle.
I used to listen W A Beatle C with Cousin Brucie (Morrow) also got to se him live at a Mall in 64.

"77, W-A-B-CEEEEEEEEE" was the station's jingle. I remember listening, after weeks of heated announcements, to the debut of "Let It Be" on 77-WABC. My girlfriend Monica (we were 10) and I, sitting on the playground listening to my Panasonic transistor radio...
