There was me thinking that I'd joined a Mandolin forum.. glad to see tenor banjo's being appreciated on here as well.

Here's a video of Bag of Spuds.. played nice and steady, no triplets etc... (they've yet to come to me yet for this tune....)

It's hard for me to tell, is it 17 or 19 frets? You should also submit that over on the Song A Week Social Group!

    Hi Barbara

Here's the ABC's for the version I'm playing:

    T:Bag of Spuds, The
    T:Bag of Potatoes, The
    R:reel
    M:C|
    K:Ador
    A2eA cAeA|ABcd edBA|G2dG BGdG|GABc dcBG|

    |:a2ea ageg|agbg agef|gedB GABd|gfga bgeg|
    a2ea ageg|agbg ageg|d2de g2ge|dBGA BAA2:|

The banjo is a 19 fret... it used to have a plectrum neck on it,but I just couldn't hit that High B.

    Chris,

Thanks for reminding me of that tune. I am going to use it for my next banjosessions article. Can I use your youtube video to illustrate the tune?

Ah, I played my tenor banjo teacher's Oakwood tenor a few times and it was the business! Love the look of the black head on yours, and your emandos are fab as well!
