Anyone ever been to the bluegrass festival in Springfield? If so, what's it like? There's one coming up this November. I live only a couple of hours east of there, so I might go check it out. Looks like some good acts will be there:

The show producer address looks to be the same and probably is Terry who used to head up and play in a band called The McGee Creek Connection (apologies if I've mis-spelled the name) as well as put together bluegrass festivals throughout Illinois and probably, parts of Missouri and Indiana (I think). They've always been fine festivals in the past and I can't imagine them being anything less than fine right now. As many mandolinists (Roland White, Rhonda Vincent, etc.) as are performing, I can't imagine a mandolin workshop being anything but a very worthwhile experience at this event.

Thanks, Joe. I think I'll check it out. Does anybody know if any instrument dealers attend this particular festival regularly? Might be fun to try out some new stuff.

The Weekend Guitar Show sponsored by MORGAN MUSIC of Lebanon, MO is a part of that festival as is a Roland White mandolin camp from 9 - 5 on Friday for $100.

They've just updated their website from this morning and added a pdf flyer that has more specific details about the event. http://www.bluegrassmidwest.com/downloads/6.pdf
