    Hello Fellow Phoenix Phans,
I recently had Rolfe work on my Unicorn. He made a great mandolin even better!

He removed the frets, leveled the fingerboard, renewed the fret slots, sealed the fingerboard, refret, level the frets, crown and polished the frets, rework nut and saddle, repaired two small cracks in top, polish, restring and set up action. Add the shipping and my total cost was $315. Yes, that's right. He really doesn't charge much!

He will only work on mandolins he has built. I think it's well worth the possible extra shipping from your home location to his workshop in Maine to get the master to work on your Phoenix or Unicorn mandolin.
