iam pondering and order what do you think sika spuce sugar maple back ebany fret board radius neck sunbusrt allen tailpeice and a few other minor refinments my question sitka spruce or caspian , i already have a collins and gibson a,s looking for more bluegrassy
My Morris A5 is Sitka over Big Leaf Maple and it has a great voice for Bluegrass, IMO. The general consensus is that Carpathian or Engelmann is "darker or warmer' and often not considered bright enough for a bluegrassy "snap". I think Sitka would be a good choice, however, I'd ask Max about this. Another possibility would be the classic combination of Red or Adirondack Spruce and red Maple. Keep us posted!
