Jim.... Very very nice... Wish we could see the whole mando better though. I am aching for a National. That one ought to be chock full of mojo. Bart
Jim that is..... ähhmm that is äähmm .... I am speechless Standard tuning ? thanks for providing all your great stuff !
Well, it's in sawmill tuning, so that's ADAD (key of D). However, I have it tuned down do it's really F#BF#B so I'm playing in the key of B
Open E E, B, E, B
nice job!!!!!
now THAT´s the blues ... 5 Stars .... Favorited .... and no I don´t need a National right now ( still need to control former MAS )
i agree bluesmandolinman! i think the man cave needs a jim richter poster!!!!!!
WOW!!!! Terrific variety of sounds... You make full use of the potential of the instrument. Thanks!!! Bart
Can I assume your EBEB tuning runs from high to low?
low to high
I like this vid - good production value. I think it's been posted elsewhere on this group (which I just found today & joined - very cool!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAXKS9JVNYA
maestro Rich just uploaded a video with slide playing on a 1910s Gibson mandola
That's rad. I'm buying a slide now. I got a banjo-mando that would probably sound just right with
I called this a Bukka White medley but it is really just two verses of Po' Boy and then some messing around in the Bukka White style. Finger-picked on a Gremlin.
