Dear diary and its readers It is after one 'clock in South Africa. All are probably sound asleep in Grahamstown but me. I am still reliving the encouraging remarks and the joy they brought the fun of interacting with the audience and their applause after my two songs. We played Moon Shadow and Morning has broken. Instruments, sweet acoustic guitar, beautiful kalimba, (African musical instrument, with very woody and natural sound). I may be back on stage in two weeks - 5 people sad to have missed me. So guess what I am doing? Practicing. Will work on the following repertoir: A wonderful life Streets of London Something by Joan Baez; Perhaps something by the beatles, one of the slower love song kind of stuff - We will have to see.
Good Day Sunshine or Here, There and Everywhere are great Beatles songs for mandolin.
