    Dear readers of this diary

What a week it has been. Full of firsts. A significant first was my first travel with my mandolin and the short recital I gave playing to colleagues and friends in a place named Durban. It was such fun. There is also the possibility of me being involved in a music school for children who are blind and of course promoting the mandolin and instruments that are not of the main stream.

I reflect on how time has passed and that I held my first mandolin on 15 December 2012. Now I have two mandolins.

A friend formerly my classical guitar teacher at school heard some of my mandolin music and commented that chord progression was now pretty good.

So it seems in baby steps I walk on this healing journey with my mandolin. Though I feel the change the mandolin brings to my life.

How wonderful it is to play music and especially an instrument such as the mandolin!

Mandolin joy and peace to all!
