Louis's Waltz

This lovely tune is usually called "Louis's Waltz" and was recorded under that name by Aly Bain with The Boys Of The Lough. It's also usually attributed as "traditional Irish". However, according to a posting by Nigel Gatherer at The Session, it's actually a Canadian tune, written by Andy DeJarlis (1914-1975) of Manitoba and titled by him "La Valse du Beau Canton" or "The Village Waltz". If so, credits to Andy and thanks to Nigel.

This arrangement with a harmony part is by Michel Van Der Meiren, whose great site tangosite.com/concertina appears to be down at the moment.

I've played Michel's arrangement in a mandolin quartet lineup:

    1921 Gibson Ajr mandolin
    Mid-Missouri M-0W mandolin
    Ozark tenor guitar
    Suzuki MC-815 mandocello
