Hey, Folks! First off, "Hearty Thanks" to John for starting our group. As an aside, John, I'm sorry for falling through on the HRMO. Starting with the cross-country move last year, not being able to sell the house in Az. (carrying 2 mortgages was rough), and then losing my job at Qimonda... I'm pretty much hog-tied to dealing with stuff close to home. Things are starting to look much better these days and I am chompin' at the bit to get out and start meeting you local folks! So, maybe we can start planning a get-together, or Mando Tasting session in the near future? I would imagine the fine folk here have many nice instruments in their possession that aren't necessarily mandolins, so maybe we can just call it an "Acoustic Instrument Tasting Session"? What say you all?
Gerry, Thanks for starting our group's first thread. And anytime you want to come to a Hampton Roads Mandolin Ensemble rehearsal, feel free....no obligation. In fact, we're rehearsing in Williamsburg next Sunday.
Hi, John, Sundays are tough for me. I play the 9a.m. and 5p.m. services at Church. If the rehearsal day ever changes I will definitely be there.
