An arrangement for classical guitar and voice of a beautiful renaissance lute song. I played the melody on my mandolin; I'm not that good a singer. You'll find sheet music for the melody here: http://abcnotation.com/tunePage?a=tu...il.no-ext/0001 A choral arrangement that could be played with various mandolin family instruments: http://www.free-scores.com/download-...php?pdf=89441#
Very nice! Campion wrote some great tunes. I recorded two others a few years ago: "What If A Day Or A Month Or A Year" and "Peaceful Western Wind". They are here: Link Martin
Thanks Martin and thanks for the link to your fine rendition of "What if a day". I had known this song as a John Dowland tune, but it may as well be written by Thomas Campion. I guess, I will record some more Renaissance songs in the future, they sound really nice, when played on the mandolin.
I made a new mix with the mandolin less prominent and deleted the old recording, Sorry!
