Another beautiful Jay Ungar waltz, this time with a somewhat sad title. There is only one version with guitar and button accordion on Youtube, but you can listen to Jay on the violin and Molly on the piano here: http://jayandmolly.com/fallen-soldier/ Sheet music PDF: http://jayandmolly.com/wp-content/up...en-Soldier.pdf I played a version with my bowlback and one with my Pomeroy A2. Although I'm a big fan of bowlbacks, I like the A oval hole better for this song:
Another stellar performance... love your tremelo!
I love waltzes too, and I enjoyed this one a lot. Thanks!
You keep coming up with them, CC. Another fine delivery. By the way, have you thought of putting your name on here rather than the "crisscross" pseudonym? I'm sure you have a good reason for remaining as you are!
Thanks Michael, Gelsenbury and John! I indeed have thought about putting my real name in here. My first name is Christian, which is quite OK, but I don't like my second name. It's the Italian word for Breast, though I seem to have no Italian ancestors.
Lovely rendition, Christian.
I think CC has put us all in waltz mode for the past few weeks. And all lovely ones too. Thanks CC.
Thanks Bertram, thanks Ginny!
