Very surprised not to find this lovely tune here in the Song-A-Week ... but then again, it could be my searching skills. Played pretty straight on my Silverangel Econo A, with a slight trainwreck at the end. You get the idea, anyway!
There was really no trainwreck - it was the train elegantly slowing down to a halt at the station. It is funny with these American tunes that you can kind-of-hear their names in the melody (seems to say "dry and dusty, dry and dusty" all the time).
A fine tune, Bruce, and well played too!
Every time I yield to the urge to get back to the guitar, I hear a fine fiddle tune well played and it's grab the mando time! Very nice! Thank you.
Fine playing Bruce and nice slides too.
… fine hammer-on-pull-offs, too. Great sound, Bruce.
I enjoyed that Bruce..thanks for posting.
Really nice, Bruce, and you're pulling some great tone too.
Yes, good tone and a nice listen. I probably won't learn this tune, but I enjoyed your version.
Thanks all for the nice comments - that's an interesting observation, Bertram (and thanks for your Diplomat of the Year comment as well!). It's one of those tunes you can play and suddenly realize an hour's gone by. Very meditative.
