Another one in my series of barebones unaccompanied videos made during the current lockdown, each featuring one of my instruments. This one is my Vintage Viaten tenor guitar, tuned GDAE - a nice responsive little parlour-sized instrument. These are two tunes written by Dave Swarbrick. "Carthy's March" is named in honour of his long-term duo partner Martin Carthy and first appeared on Swarb's 1976 solo album "Swarbrick". Much later, Swarb wrote a companion piece, The Lemon Tree, named after a tree in Trevor Lucas's garden in Sydney. The two pieces first appeared as a set on the 1990 Carthy/Swarbrick live album "Life and Limb". Played as transcribed by Maartin Allcock. Martin
