I made a video tutorial of the melody for you, but I am wondering if I am allowed to post it. I think they are very picky about copyright infringement on that song.
Laura, you could probably upload it to you tube but make it private, and then send her the link to be able to watch it... just an idea!
Actually Roland White posted a youtube video demonstrating how to build a break using that song.
I did send a private message with the link Barbara. It looks like there are quite a few versions on youtube, so I think I'll go ahead and post it.
All I can contribute is our own HB video to Barb from Dec 2010, where instrumental support is reduced to a TB played fingerstyle. I recommend singing - voices still lend more personal touch to this song than all the whistles and bells in the world, independent of skill. And if anybody claims copyright on this song, I'll have gentlemen dressed in white escort him to an ambulance car with barred windows.

Very good Laura, but does your third line depart from the standard melody slightly? Here is my arrangement in G; the chords are G, C and D.
It very well may depart from the standard melody Maudlin. I figured it out be ear from memory, and there are a lot of off key singers in my family
